EVERY FRIDAY 7.30 AM - 8.30 AM
My yoga journey began over 20 years ago with Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga.
I enjoyed the health benefits of both and relied heavily on my practice during both my pregnancies. However, I didn’t truly ‘connect’ with yoga outside of the physical.
Five years ago I joined a Kundalini Yoga class and after three sessions I was hooked! It was the first time I wanted to truly understand a practice and integrate it into my daily life. The lights went on and I finally understood the “union' of true Yoga.
As an Ayurvedic practitioner and therapist I loved how Kundalini Yoga fitted into the picture - it was like the final piece of the puzzle!
In 2017 I began my teacher training with Hari Har Ji and Sat Nadar Kaur of the Sahej Academy. I qualified in 2018 as a KRI Level 1 Aquarian Teacher.
Kundalini yoga is for everyone, known as the ‘householder’s yoga’, it is practical but also very powerful. It works quickly to give you grace, balance, strength and, most of all, the ability to remain calm, centered and clear through life’s challenges.
As you increase your practice, you will grow & gain new perspectives & capacities, as well as habits that support a healthy lifestyle. Each class is 90 mins and includes warm up, breath work, Kriya (sequence of physical postures), meditation & relaxation.
You don’t need any previous yoga experience to gain results from your very first class. It is a Spiritual, but non-religious, practice, therefore open to those of all faiths, or of no particular faith. “The Yoga of Awareness”, it is also incredibly scientific, designed by the yogis to increase vitality, to maximise healing powers, strengthen the immune, nervous & glandular systems and give greater stamina and flexibility.
If you haven't done my classes before but intend to come along, please read my beginner's handout here: https://www.thesacredspaceuk.com/blog/2019/2/22/kundalini-yoga-a-beginners-introduction
You will need: Mat, blanket, water bottle. I also love to have a candle, essential oil and my note book and pencil for scribbling anything down which comes to me during my practice.
Classes are donation based. Suggestions of £10, £8 or £5 or free for those in any financial difficulties - if you can’t make a donation but enjoy the class, all I ask is you pay it forward by sharing on your social media.
