Holy Basil, or Tulsi, is a herb native to Southeast Asia and has a long history within Ayurvedic medicine as a treatment for many diseases. The name ‘Tulsi’ means “the incomparable one”. Different parts of the plant are used for different ailments but the whole plant is considered a tonic for body, mind & spirit. I am spotlighting this stunning herb this month as it is particularly renowned for its use in easing respiratory ailments.
